Steve Nichols-Trombonist

Stephen Nichols-Trombonist/Vocalist/Bandleader Composer/Arranger began his professional music career in 1967 with the organization of his first music group, Made In America. As a bandleader Mr. Nichols conducted and performed with groups in the USA including Hawaii and in Europe, Canada, the Caribbean and Asia. Steve's career, for over forty years, has been most interesting.

Nancy Soule

Nancy Soulé - Lead Vocalist/Keyboardist made her first recording at the age of five as a singer and pianist and hasn’t stopped performing since.  From a family that graced the stages of vaudeville, opera, and music hall, she has a versatile repertoire that spans jazz, blues, rock, pop, soul, country, doo-wop, Broadway and inspirational music.  Nancy is a team player, keyboardist, accomplished lead and harmony vocalist, and a dynamic stage performer.

     He has performed on stage with Sammy Davis Jr., Stevie Wonder, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, The Fifth Dimension, The Osmond Brothers, The Michel LeGrand Orchestra, The Red Skelton Show, The Del Courtney Orchestra, The Luther Ingram Show, The Chita Rivera Show. The Crystal Gale Show, The Marvin Hammlisch Show, The Ben Vereen Show, The Patti Andrews Show, Royal Carribean Cruise Lines, Princess Cruises, Holland America Line, Celebrity Cruises among many, many other international performances.
      Stephen Nichols was Principal/featured Trombonist on National and International tours with The Mantovani Orchestra and served as trombonist with the U.S. Air Force White House Band where he performed for Presidents and Heads Of State from many nations worldwide.
      Steve has traveled over a million miles and performed for millions of people in live stage shows, televised performances and motion pictures. Steve's compositions and arrangements have been published and recorded since 1969. Originally from Humboldt, Tennessee Mr. Nichols grew up in Miami, Florida from age seven, later spending more than thirty years outside the mainland U.S.A.. He now resides in Ft. McCoy, Florida.

      Since 1990 she has performed professionally with a cappella groups as both soprano & alto as well as several notable bands.  In 2007 she wrote, produced, directed, and arranged a sold-out program with a professional 6-piece band called “Shades of Blue, a Century of Blues” for the Museum of Making Music, an affiliate of NAMM. She repeated this process for the Museum in 2008 for “The Magic of Motown”
     In 2009 she produced a similar historical show and performed as solo vocalist for the program “Love Songs, 21st Century American Composers” as a benefit.
Prior to joining SEABREEZE, Nancy was the vocalist for several professional groups including: the Top-40 band Art Deco & the New Era (since 2004), vocals and keyboards for the all-female rock band Haute Flash (since 2007) and for the blues/classic rock band BayWolf (since 1995), vocals for the jazz duo Heart & Soul (since 1999) and the big band Smooth Operator (since 2005).
     She also serves as soloist for several churches. She also holds a B.A. in Theater from U.C.L.A. and two graduate degrees from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising. She is a college instructor, public speaker, songwriter, columnist, author, entrepreneur and commercial radio/ stage actor.


Steve Nichols-Trombonist

Dan Loranger- Pianist/Vocalist, as early as five years old, was recognized for his special talent playing the piano. He was soon to be playing and composing his own songs. His parents encouraged Dan’s talents and sought out the best of training. As a teenager, Dan started adopting his own musical styles as well as having been influenced by the great pop acts of the time.

Vera Herten

Vera Herten- Drummer is a very expressive musician, originally from Germany, who has performed and toured with various bands on the European continent. She has performed with  the world famous group, YES in Munich. Among her many accolades she has won the prestigious German Rock & Pop Award in 2004 with the group, Band Sister Act. Vera Herten was born in 1976 near Cologne in Germany. At the age of five she started to sing. At eight years old she had her first organ lessons. She started playing drums at 14 years old.

     After graduating, Dan started pursuing a career as an entertainer, working with some name acts of the time such as Deon and the Bell Mounts,
The 1910 Fruit Gum Co.  as well as Phil Spector, one of the originators of the 60’s pop sound.
    Later in his career, Dan worked in the competitive Southern California market in many of the top clubs. Dan also performed on the coveted “Hollywood Party” circuit, for such notables as Mike Douglas, Geena Davis, Sharon Stone, William Hurt, Peter Nonne, Kenny G. and many of Hollywood’s most influential personalities.
     Dan has performed in Asia and Europe as well as worked for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Celebrity Cruises, and Carnival Cruise Lines as a musician. Dan’s performance covers an extraordinary range of material. In Asia he performed at The Annex Hotel in Misugi, Japan. A truly versatile performer, Dan Loranger has shown his great talents on many of the world's stages. Presently, Mr. Loranger resides in Florida.

     Very soon Vera noticed that she had found her passion in life and began taking drum lessons at the local music college. From November,1994 until November, 1996 she performed with the music colleges' Big Band and Symphonic Orchestra and with other local Pop Bands. In 1997 she moved to Munich where she began touring with the group Haggard all over Europe. Haggard is an 18 piece Orchestra which performs an unusually exciting mix of Classic and Hard Rock.
     In the following years she performed with various music groups on the European continent. In addition to her Drum studies at Drummers Focus - Munich, Vera has become an expert in Cultural Anthropology through her studies at the University of Munich.  Her strong interests in culture and music all around the planet Earth are her driving forces for traveling , performing and understanding more about our world.
     Ms. Herten has studied drumming and percussion techniques in Brazil and Senegal in addition to her European traditional studies. In 2009 she performed with the Darwin Brass Band in Darwin, Australia and attended the World Australasian Music Expo. Prior to joining Seabreeze Vera performed for three years with the Isartaler Hexen, a popular, exciting all female variety band from Germany, nominated for the German Folk Music Award in 2009.

Kayla

Kayla - Lead Vocalist, has performed as a singer since early childhood. Her formative years in Ohio offered her much experience on stage. Along with a thorough University background, she studied voice with Angela Seidel of the Cincinnati Conservatory. In that region as well Kayla performed with several dance bands and was a popular lead vocalist.  

George Gomez

George Gomez - Guitarist/Vocalist, was born in Miami, Florida and raised in South Florida. After George saw the Beatles perform on their famous Ed Sullivan Show appearance he was so impressed that he began studying the guitar immediately at age nine very seriously. When he was older he studied guitar with virtuoso guitarists Vincent Bredice and Cal Wilson who were teachers in the South Florida area.

     Her experiences were further enhanced with performances in many musical theatre productions such as “My Friend Charlie” and “The Pirates Of Penzance”. Formerly a member of the U.S. Air Force she was afforded a position singing with the USO Shows and traveled to many air bases to perform for active military personnel.
     Kayla has been a host of television productions and radio productions and her voice is often heard nationally on the Muzak phone mail system. In recent years she has performed on stage with the world famous Jordanaires, The Sweet Inspirations, Eddie “Animal” Graham and Johnny Wilkinson, both formerly with Elvis Presley’s group. Her performance experience has taken her all over the country and to the Caribbean and Hawaii. Now residing in the Ocala, Florida area she is performing with North Central Florida groups. Our newest CD, "Let's Go See The Moon" was released in September,2009 and features Kayla's lead vocals.

     Later, he performed and recorded with Miami groups such as Willie Sanchez And The New Wave which was a popular Latin rock/fusion group in the South Florida area.. Over the years, Mr. Gomez has performed with a variety of bands and musical presentations from full stage bands to trios, duos and his own solo guitar/vocal presentation. He has raised his children in South Florida and subsequently moved his family to Ocala, Florida where he now resides.
     Presently, Mr. Gomez performs with local Ocala, Florida groups. He is also a recording artist under the Seabreeze Music label and performs with the Seabreeze Trio. George's guitar work along with background vocals are featured on the new CD release, "Let's Go See The Moon ". Seabreeze music groups are Ocala, Florida based, "frontline" groups with a full band sound performing a variety of musical styles including Standards, Easy Listening Rock 'n Roll, Dance Variety, Salsa, Swing Jazz, Classic Soul, R & B and new, original songs. All group members sing lead vocals and vocal harmonies. A variety of instruments are used in performances. Audiences are always entertained by the original and interesting musical arrangements along with a talented, genuine and humorous presentation.
